1/27: Voices from the Past, Echoes of the Future. A vocal reminiscence of some of the greatest voices of the 20th century and a stab at predicting who will be the first operatic legends of the new millennium.

2/03: Semele. George Friedrich Handel's Italian opera disguised as an English oratorio.

2/10: Le Nozze di Figaro. Mozart's sublime comic opera that served notice to the aristocracy: money doesn't necessarily buy happiness.

2/17: Lucia di Lammermoor. Donizetti's quintessential bel canto masterpiece featuring the most famous mad scene in all of opera.

2/24: Otello. Verdi's operatic adaptation of Shakespeare is a phenomenon..dare I suggest better than the original?

3/02: Tosca. Puccini's birthday girl celebrated 100 years on the stage in January, 2000. Happy birthday, La Tosca!
